The FastPictureViewer Codec Pack add-in adds JPEG auto-rotation to Windows Explorer, Photoshop PSD support, as well as support for 400+ camera RAW formats and a dozen specialized file formats suchas as OpenEXR, SGIRGB, Maya IFF, DirectX DDS and more, with full 64-bit compatibility.
The FastPictureViewer Codec Pack is a 'must have' for any digital camera owner and enhances Windows 7 and Vista Explorer 32/64-bit with support for thumbnails, full size view and metadata search for 35+ image formats, including camera raw formats from more than 400 digital camera models.
Windows Imaging Component's codec-enabled applications, such as Windows Live Photo Gallery, Sony Creative Software Vegas Pro, FastPictureViewer Professional and more also benefit from the installed codecs and gain the ability to preview and open new file formats.
The FastPictureViewer Codec Pack currently supports the Truevision Targa (TGA), ILM OpenEXR (EXR), DirectX DDS, Netpbm PNM/PPM/PGM/PBM and JPEG 2000 (J2K, JP2) raster image formats, along with raw formats from more than 300 digital cameras including Adobe DNG, Canon, Epson, Fuji, Hasselblad, Kodak, Leica, Mamiya, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Sigma, Sinar and Sony, plus the Rawzor compressed raw format for CR2, NEF, NRW, OEF and PEF files.
The codec pack provides LIMITED support to Windows XP SP3 users: Explorer Thumbnail Views are enabled once the codecs are installed, but separate applications are required to preview and open files in full size. Windows XP SP3 is required.
